The parish school at The Holy Epiphany Church is dedicated in the name of the last tsarevich of Russia – Holy Royal Martyr Tsarevich Alexey.

The school’s mission is to assist parents in instilling a Russian orthodox consciousness in our children, foster an active, living faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Church, and to encourage a firm moral upbringing. The school strives to serve as a bridge between the church and home.

The Holy Epiphany Parish School Administration is under the spiritual guidance of the Parish Rector, Priest Victor Boldewskul (FrVictor@comcast.net),

who is assisted by:
School Director:         Reader Ilia Jarostchuk             (ijarostc@its.jnj.com)
                                    Secretary:                   Anna Turovskiy                        (

The Parish School accepts children ages 5-13, and teens ages 14-17 (for Sunday’s Law of God program).  All children must be either baptized in the Orthodox Faith, or be considering baptism in the Orthodox Faith.  Those considering baptism must have a blessing from the Parish Rector (Father Victor Boldewskul:  FrVictor@comcast.net).

Knowledge of the Russian Language is NOT a prerequisite.  Although we encourage our students to learn and use Russian in school, lessons are taught bilingually in classes that have children that don’t understand Russian.  Our hope is that by participating in the program that your child will eventually develop a basic ability to understand and speak the Russian language.

The program is taught on both Saturdays and Sundays.  The purpose of this is to allow the students to attend and participate in the Divine Services which are held Saturday evenings, and Sunday mornings.  Since our program is “spiritually based,” bypassing the Divine Services would deny our children the blessing of the Holy Spirit, and thereby, defeat the purpose of the program.  (See Mission Statement above).  Student attendance of the Divine Service after/prior to lessons is, therefore, an absolute requirement.  Excused absences for honorable reasons may be granted by either the Parish Rector, or the Director of the Parish School.
